Cifam was established in 1979 with the main objective of producing hydraulic brakes and clutches, in the beginning as a "spin-off" business started by Metelli in 1975. CIFAM was than in 1984 transformed into a private shareholding company ( S.p.A. ). In the aim of maximizing its resources and expertise they merged with Metelli in the year 1996.

All articles are produced under the name CIFAM. With over thirty years of experience in the automotive industry field, they present a synonym worldwide of highest tech top quality products for brake and transmission parts.
